Hibernian Aviva

Hibernian is part of the international group AVIVA and has recently re-branded under the parent company name.  It is both a general and a life insurer.
The Company has demonstrated their commitment to the Irish market with a long term sponsorship agreement on the Old Lansdowne Road stadium, now known as the Aviva stadium.
There are both home insurance and life insurance products available from Aviva.   The home insurance scheme was arranged by the Professional Brokers association and they have a special discount rate on home insurance through this network.
Aviva operate minimum premiums in the life insurance area so that their minimum premium for a single person is €20 per month and €40 for a joint application.

Automatic benefits

• These benefits apply to everyone with an Aviva mortgage protection policy.

Guaranteed insurability option
This allows you to take out additional cover without evidence of good health if:

• Your mortgage amount increases
• You extend the term of your mortgage (not beyond your 70th birthday)

This option may only be exercised if:

• Any increase in your cover is not more than €40,000 or if lower, the original level of cover
• The original policy is issued to you at standard rates
• This covers you for accidental death while your policy application is being processed
• If you die due to an accident, we will pay €150,000 or the proposed amount of life cover, whichever is less
• Applies until your policy application has been processed
• Accidental death benefit
